Just bought a 2017 Nismo RS in place of a 2011 DIGT. Can't seem to activate any auto door locks. I have heard that the EU has scuppered this facility. Any advice? Nice to have the doors auto lock when you set off.
Yep Nissan removed this in the UK due to supposed Euro legislation that they could be held responsible if the car did not auto unlock in the case of a serious accident. They seem to be on there own though as every other manufacturer seems to allow it. My wife's original Nismo had it but her RS hasn't. I was not happy about this as she drives a lot on her own and I felt easier when the car auto locks, as she keeos forgetting to do it manually . I did a bit of research and found that there is a setting within the cars electronics to enable this as it's still available in some markets, but you would need a friendly Nissan dealer to do this and I guess they won't.
