Rear Door Lock

Got a problem with the rear door lock on my Juke.The handle doesn't spring back when opening and needs to be pushed in to make sure door shuts.Seems just to be sticky as mechanism is working fine apart from that.Has anyone had this problem before?It's not obvious how you might strip the door lock down to give it a service, any suggestions how you might do it? Any help much appreciated.

yep wife had it on her nismo, took it to dealer and they took about 10 minutes to pull out the lock unit, regrease and put back . watched them do it looked fairly easy.

Thanks.I'm taking it they opened up the unit from within the back door, but I can't figure out how the back plate comes off. Did you see how they did it?

Think they just pulled the small backplate off, probably brute force and ignorance. think it is just a push fit in plastic bushes. i know he pulled it off quickly so didn't really see where he applied the force to do it

I've looked at it from all angles and I'd guessed that was how it fitted, but wondered if part of the back plate went under the rear door interior trim, so wondered if i'd have to take that off first. I'll have another go at it tomorrow, as it is an irritating fault to have.

My drivers door handle was sticking so the part that shows when you pull the handle out i used some spray grease on that and its been working since.
