Re: Another new user

Hi mynismo4x4

I understand that a manufacturer has to obtain type approval on each model before a tow bar can be fitted. This is an expensive proposition and the number of Nismos sold did not warrant the cost. Sorry but using a tow bar would be illegal! Enjoy the motor, I love mine.

Re: Newbie searching for a juke

Hi Madfish Welcome to the forum. Assuming you are looking at a secondhand motor there is a wide range of models to choose from, both petrol and diesel in a variety of trim and power levels. Boot space and access to the rear seats is a bit restricted and worth checking otherwise I have no adverse com...

Re: Is it me or is the juke a nightmare in snow

With wide sport tyres and a lively engine I thought my AWD (4WD) RS would be a nightmare in snow but, in fact, it is excellent. Power to all wheels makes the difference as long as you don't let the turbo kick in. The auto box does not allow the driver to set off in second gear but the torque convert...

Re: Which tyres to go for ??? 1.6T Dig-T

Just replaced the front contisports on my Awd Rs after 7500miles.
At around £150 each definitely not a cheap operation but these tyres are the grippiest I have ever known and really inspire confidence so have replaced like for like.

Re: 2011 timing chain

I would suggest it is false economy to replace the chain without the tensioners and guides. Camshaft belt kits come with everything except gaskets.

Re: Nismo RS urban MPG

I have the AWD model. Always in sport mode I get between 20 and 21mpg. On open road and above 40mph I achieve 35mpg.

Re: Strange sound 1.2 dig-T and poor fuel economy

Hi lafs 74 The quoted rev rang seems about right for the turbo kicking in and one can certainly hear when this happens. I have never driven the 1.2 but this seems the most likely explanation. If the engine layout is the same as the 1.6, the turbo is situated at the back of the engine by the bulkhead...
