boothy ,Welcome to the forum, now please don't take this the wrong way but have you been given a handbook when you bought your car, if you have then all the buttons and switches are explained .

Pressy, Do your wipers work as normal when headlights are off, if the answer is yes then there is a fault, the only suggestion I can give if your car is not under warranty is to ask a auto-electrician to have a look at it, ask him for a price first.

Hi vexorg, You seem to have a good knowledge of the Juke so I think you should have no trouble doing it yourself, As for your question I haven't seen anyone do a write up about doing the timing chain.
