Chains seem to be a problem for many manufacturers, wonder why they don't go back to belts as they are more serviceable.

Nissan will know, though we never used it. It can drop down and sit on the bottom of the lower section. It pretty much reduces your small boot to an even smaller size.

Pretty sure I had the clutch in for long periods when the autolight was flashing, no effect.

Ours was definitely the button, the passenger door and boot worked instantly. The drivers door needed pushed in harder and forward.

I'd check for nothing caught or jammed on the gear linkages in the engine bay, then look for anything broken on them.

If you are lucky then it wont be in the gearbox.

Also figured out last night that it must read the speed signs on the road, as it knows the limits for roadworks, or anywhere you drive as you pass the sign.

I take it by "gone" then it's stretched or jumped rather than broken. I'm surprised they say keep using it, they must be wanting to do an engine change and not care about the one in the car.

You see why the 1.2 is held in such low regards, fingers crossed the 1.0 is better.
