My car broke down couple weeks ago, no warning signs just cut out, RAC has to rescue us and tow us home, basically said 2 cylinders were misfiring and could be a timing chain issue but not 100% certain, have now had towed to local garage and said could be either be head gasket, cylinders or timing chain, but having trouble removing the engine head to give me the diagnosis. ive only had car 12 months and it has done 57k miles
RAC engineer said he has experienced alot of engine issues with this type of car, basically too much torque for size/weight of car with too small an engine capacity.
Has anyone else had same problems, if so were the issues resolved?

If it's the timing chain then it's a well know issue, speak to nissan about it.

Not sure that the engine size is the problem, the newer bigger juke has a smaller engine with no issue. The 1.2 is just designed badly.
