Another popular lighting mod, but this one is as an addition, rather than a replacement.First, lets get the legal speak out of the way Taken directly from the Halfords site, as they've put it in simple English. (halford link)DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS UK LAWDaytime running lights (sometimes referred to as DRLs or daylight running lamps) are low-wattage bulbs that are fitted to a car to improve visibility during daylight hours. As of 7th February 2011* DRLs have become a mandatory fitting to all new type approved passenger vehicles (except trailers).DRLs must switch on with the vehicle ignition and switch off when the vehicle sidelights are switched on. They can also be made to function as front position (side) lights, which operate at a reduced intensity when the vehicle sidelights are switched on.* European Directive 76/656/EEC, as amended by 2008/89/ECSo. In short, if you fit DRLs, they must either switch off, or dim, when the sidelights come on.Most kits out there do this, but be careful when buying as some don't...The key thing to look for is that the DRL should have three wires coming from it, not just two. Ok. So with that out of the way, what are your options?

Option 1 - DIY it! As Jukeov has done , it is possible to put individual LEDs in. It should be noted that this will require a better grasp of DIY car electronics than buying them 'ready made' - but allows for more individual results.Option 2 - ebayAs jthspace found, it is possible to get DRLs quite cheaply on ebay, which work quite nicely.Option 3 - the forum favourite - KSA DRLs.JOG Supporters get a tidy discount on these, and they look pretty darn smart too! The group buy chatmore detailsJOG Supporters, please check out the Members Only area to see the discount ordering method Fitting. Most DRLs seem to come with a half decent fitment guide, but if you get stuck, check out this thread where jthspace and Jukeov have put some good info and links.
