We actually go to the bottom of the P1453 on the Juke.
I was the DPF Exhaust Map Pressure sensor and the two little pipes that go into it.
Once of them was completely blocked and needed replaced and the other just needed cleaned.
Once we made these changes (after many other attempts to fix it - we even changed the EGR Value that made no difference), the car has been running fine.

Well everybody, I would like to thank you all for your help but I have reached the end of my tether, the code P1453 is still showing, the pipes have been cleaned with the "brake" cable, the Egr is spotless, every sensor I could find has been unplugged and they all throw codes, two of us have spent a whole day looking and still cannot find the p1453 sensor. Either from above or below.
Instead of using the cheapo reader of mine last night we tried a windows based scanner on the car (vw version) and it came up with p1453, but states exhaust temperature sensor.
Now I am really confused.
Think I'll drive the car off a bridge!!!

The DPF and temperature sensors look to be round the back of the engine area, I think you'd need to get most of the inlet pipework out of the way to find then.

The other problem could still be the dpf itself being too blocked.

I have dismantled as much as I could and the sensor is right behind the engine, it can be seen from below (after purchasing ramps) but not accessible or reachable. A local mechanic has said its ÂŁ60 for a forced regen. If all he is going to do is what we did and drive it then what's the point?!

there can be a few reasons why your car will not do a normal regen, therefore a forced regen is necessary.
I keep an eye on my soot levels with a scanner, icarsoft, and it also tells me how many regens it as done,
And it keeps a log of how many have failed,IE if you stop the car while it is in the process of a regen .thats when i know it definitely needs a run.
Usually it regens about 30miles after a failed one to start another one and takes about 10mins to regen, ive watched it on the scanner .
Even town driving does it.

Hi I was wondering if someone can help my nissan threw up some codes about 2 weeks ago the eml came on with a traction control light was my glow plugs and exhaust pressure sensor circuit A, I changed glow plugs and have the dpf pipe cleaned as it was blocked, when I first drove it from garage seemed fine all the power there drove as it should of but as soon I came to a hill and give it that extra boost it went straight into limp mode and the Amber eml came on, the code its giving out is 2 manufacturer control p1453! Can someone please help? I'm banging my head against the wall here! Some saying its the sensor but I'm having a problem in finding a sensor that fits my nissan juke 1.5 dci ntec as the pins on the sensor are different! I've contacted all local parts garages, nissan and renault itself and they have all said the sensor im after they no longer do as my pins are in a straight line!! But I'm wondering if it really is the sensor as that light have now gone out and its just the manufacturer control code! It drives fine but as soon as I give it a bit of gas for some speed or on a hill it goes straight back into limp mode! If I clear the code with a diagnostic tool rhe power comes straight back! Please nobody shout at me lol but I've been filling my car with diesel from a drum! White diesel not red!! Its just i bulk buy it, only seemed to go like since I been filling it by drum! Before was doing 50mpg now Its doing 39.9mpg!
Please help?? Any recommendations?? Will be so grateful!! 🙏 🙏

Thanks for that, I've had it professionally cleaned and it was blocked, drove fine for about a month now the light has come back on again! Throwing the same code and manufacturer control on the machine! Driving me insane as soon as the light comes on it goes into limp mode, I've had the code cleared on the computer and took it on the motorway nothing seems to be getting rid of it and I'm scratching my head as to what it can be!!
Thank you.
