This light came on today as I was coming off a roundabout (rather quickly) - it stayed on rather than blink - I was a mile from work so I let it run, and it's not come on at all on the way home. Anyone else had this - it says in the manual it MAY indicate a fault and MAY need servicing - so does it or doesn't it?

I only ever manage to getmine on when I boot it away. I would say watch it and see if it plays up again. To be honest a trip to dealers will probably be a waste of YOUR time as they are likely to say sorry no fault showing, can't fix what its reading as a fault. Wait until its stays on then drive to the dealers with it on

Odd, the Zed one flashes when it's working it's magic then goes out again so I assume the Juke does the same (never seen it come on!!)It sounds like yours only went out when you turned off and started up again and that can't be right. Have you got a ODBII reader? You might be able to get a clue as to what's up and if it's worth heading to the dealers at this point.

I have had my ESP light come on as well, and it stays on, until an ignition off/on. No real explanation, and its only happened twice, not overly concerned, despite what the book says, and if it remains erratic, i`ll mention it at the next service.

Thanks all - mine stayed on, rather than flash (which the book says it does as a warning that the surface is slippery). Not gone on this morning so maybe I overdid it on a roundabout yesterday.

Came on again this morning for no apparent reason -rang my local dealer to book it in for a checkup on Saturday, but after hearing that it's intermittent and not resetting itself on a run, recommended that it would be better if it was in for a weekday when they had their specialists in and offered me a courtesy car before I even had chance to ask. Excellent service from Norton way Nissan (my wife had equally excellent service from Norton way Honda before she sold her civic) so will be interesting to see what they find.

Hi actd,
If you look in the Faults and Fixes thread i think it was Asbury Juke suggested to check the brake fluid level. I had similar to you, and one day noticed the brake fluid level warning light come on under braking, and immediately after, the ESP light came on and stayed on. I put what seemed like about 15-20ml to bring to max level and no light since. Its worth a try.

Bugger, saw that and forgot about it - I'll check, though I haven't seen the fluid level warning light come on at all - have seen the ESP light flash, but I can feel a wheel slipping when that happens.

Took my juke in to Norton Way Nissan today to get this checked under warranty - they confirmed that there were a couple of fault codes showing low brake fluid, probably from the fluid sloshing around under braking -does seem to be a design flaw that this happens as when I checked the level a few days ago, it was easy above minimum, but at least it's confirmed what the fault is. Also tightened the handbrake cable which is now excellent. Fantastic service - definitely recommend to anyone in or near Hertfordshire.
