Hi Madfish, Sorry that we all come with bad reports about the 1.2 but we have to go off what our members tell us about this engine. The 1.6 is a cracking engine with good mileage and excellant petrol consumption. So as always the choice is yours.Whichever model you go for I hope you enjoy your Juke as we do.

Hi Madfish. I’ve a Tekna diesel 2013. I also do less than 6000 miles a year. It’s still under 40000 miles. I would not be put off just because you don’t do the miles. I know people are concerned about DPF filter. As long as you go on a good ride every now and then to clear them. Shouldn’t be an issue. Also the MPG is excellent. Hope this helps. 👍🏼

When you say the 1.6, is this the older NA one or the newer dig T models?

I don't think our budget will stretch to the 1.6 dig T tekna...

The 1.6 that I mean is the n/a one, I have had mine for over 7 years with no problems at all.Like you I couldn't afford the Dig T

Fully agree with @Bernie
I have a Tenka petrol 1.6 2012 model, plenty of gadgets on that, no doubt the newer models from 2014 have even better specifications.
As with any car a full service history is a must......Small suv's seem to be the in thing at the moment and the Juke holds it's price well.

Well after plenty of reading it's been enough to put us off the 1.2 juke...

The search continues

Thanks for the advice up to now

I have a 2014 1.6 Dig-T 4x4 petrol auto and average around 35mpg. Love the car, just right for two of us, but back is bit cramped for two adults on long trips, but fine for grandchildren. Hope this helps. Boot is a bit small, but adequate. Spare wheel under boot floor takes up room but I would not be without one!
