Well make sure you have the tyres with equal wear replaced across the axles, whether existing tyres or new ones, rather than down either side as they are at the moment.

Are both the o/s tyres worn to 3mm on one edge, both edges or across the full tread?Did you buy the car from a Nissan dealer?

Theyre worn more in the middle of the tread, and the rear one slightly more than the front. I checked the pressure two weeks back, and they were all slightly under-inflated.I bought from a BMW dealer funny enough.Ive done about 1500 miles since i bought it.

Hi, If middle is worn, sounds like over inflation. Perhaps the dealer (or previous owner) has realised the tyres were overinflated and have underinflated them to try and even out the wear? Maybe they then swapped them around? Let us know what happens tomorrow after the tracking has been checked. Cheers, Cofnchtr.

From what you are saying, the tyre wear you have dosnt make sense for a 2 wheel drive car. The only thing that i can think of is that the o/s/r tyre must have been on the front and the car driven fairly hard.A non driven tyre shouldnt wear like that, at the age / mileage that you mention.

You could try to contact the previous owner.

Had the tracking checked and no problem found.I did phone Nissan, but was unable to get hold of the guy who is dealing with my complaint, so will try again on Monday. I was considering perhaps trying to contact the previous owner. I'll see how I get on with Nissan first.

Realistically, I don't think Nissan will be inclined to do anything, and you can't blame them in this case - there's too many unknowns as to why this might have happened, including the tyres being switched.

Tyre wear

Hi Wint we have just had 2 new tyres on our 64 plate Only done 6500 miles. The tread on the centre of the 2 tyres were really low. Tyre pressure was fine. Nissan have taken off the continental tyres and put on Mitchelin. I have spoken to somebody who has just had a 15 plate juke and there tyres are Mitchelin. Hope that helps.
