EPS Light

Post by The_Oil_of_Jukedom » Fri May 19, 2017 9:58 am

The EPS light comes on often now on my 2011 Juke, most forums seem to make little of this light but I really don't like lights on my dashboard that appears to hi lite a problem? It seems to reset when the cars ignition is turned off but its not long before its back on when I start off again. It can't possibly be my driving because its just started doing it and I've had the car for a few years now. Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can't remember if it's the ESP light, but check your brake fluid - even if it's between max and min levels, I'd top it up to maximum and see if that helps.

If its a diesel Juke could be a blocked EGR pipe.

My Juke Diesel had this issue. If revs kept below 2000 light would stay off for most of the time. But if revved above 2000 would come on almost immediately.
Garage did extensive tests and this was the last thing they checked as went down route of the ABS system. Very difficult to get to as it is located at the back of the engine compartment so labour was the expensive. Pipe was cleaned thoroughly and all good now.
Good luck.
