Battery on Start Stop DCI

Post by PassXpress » Thu Nov 08, 2018 7:28 pm

Hi
Would anyone know what the output voltage should be from the alternator on a Juke Tekna DCI with Start Stop.

Mine is showing

Alternator output at battery terminals. 30.8v
Battery with ignition off. 26.7v

The battery is giving out when parked with engine in stop mode after only 15mins.

That's wrong, the battery should be 14.0v to 14.5v when the engine is running.
And 12.5v to 13.5v when the engine is off.

Any more than around 17v and many of the electrical parts will start to burn out and die, so the meter reading you have is wrong.

The reading is wrong or the regulator in the alternator has blown.
Its only a Juke if it's RED.
