The 1.5dci can do a real 70+ mpg if careful. 60mpg is typical for us, and on the very rare occasion, down to 55 if I've been having some fun with it.

The new small turbo petrol engine area bit of a minefield for all makes

I've been advised if your a bit too light footed then this adds to the DPF issues ie not clearing the soot ....so I basically drive mine quite quickly and still get 40+ MPG around town 😊

You can do both, sometime easy, sometimes a bit faster to clear the cobwebs out

the dpf just needs to be hot enough for long enough to clear soot out.

with good fuel. the higher the ron the better it is. also, shell fuel goes through more at the refineries thus is it better quality than your Asda, Morrisons, Tesco etc...
