I have a juke Tenka 1.6 petrol 2012.
I am trying to figure out what the average mpg is for the car.
The advertising blurb and various websites make different claims.
The display shows 41.5 mpg which I assume is supposed to be a average figure except it's been that figure for the past year and is clearly wrong as I doubt that a couple of hours of continous motorway driving it's unlikely to be a correct figure.
Each persons driving habits will of course affect mpg but I am trying to find a average figure.
Changing the mpg display it jumps all over the place, doing 70 along the motorway it was showing as 68 mpg..........I wish.
What sort of average mpg are you getting if you are driving this particular model of Juke ?

There are two mpg, average and instantaneous. The instantaneous will continually change with load and your right foot.

If there's any doubt then do it the old fashioned way, fill the tank, reset the miles and average mpg. Wait until the tank is near empty, fill up then calculate the true mpg, then compare it to the dash average.

For the diesel, I've found the average mpg is pretty much perfect when comparing take to tank.
