Engine Stalling /Loss of Power Problems

Post by CR4ZYHORSE » Sun Aug 10, 2014 5:51 pm

Please can any new owners post into this thread if they have experienced and issues with a sudden loss of power or engine stalling. We have seen a few reports now suggesting that there might be a common fault, and in an effort to gather evidence and try to better understand the problem, it would be useful to know of facelift owners experiences.I have copied across a short summary from the reports on this forum, but would welcome further details from those affected by this issue. The more information we can gather, the better we will be able to identify if there is a common fault, and how widespread this might be.Thanks in advance for your contributions

The car stalls whilst driving along its like it just loses power and the revs go right down and goes into a very weak limp mode.

Dealer wont release the car until it is properly fixed.

Thanks C4, glad you have pulled the affected posts together.

Where I have no doubt that Nissan will resolve this issue can I just advise people to persistent and not be fobbed off. Experience has taught me Nissan customer service have a list of stock answers and "this is the first case we have heard of" or words to that effect. Sits among the the top

The more I read about this problem and added to Nissans silence on it tells me this is a far greater issue than they want us to think it is. It's my opinion that deliveries need to cease and all models likely to be affected recalled
Let's just hope a resolution appears promptly.

Absolutely fuming. Finally got hold of a "manager" at Nissan UK who informed me that as the dealer cannot find the fault with the car I will be expected to collect it and drive it as usual! Even though the RAC found a fault with the Start/Stop system. Nissan uk need to recognise there is a problem that they need to fix!

Would just like to add that there is no way I will be driving the car until it's fixed. Nissan uk sort this out, what a joke.

Could you two not get together and quote each others notes to help.

Years ago, Deks and I, along with a few others got together to grumble at Nissan, sometimes it pays to have a go together,,,you can but try..

Have you tried the Facebook and twitter route?
Have you tried the Finance rejection route

I really really do feel sorry for you, i know how difficult it is to dig your heels in against a big company

I agree with Fee and a good starting point would be to ask Nissan GB directly on their Facebook and Twitter accounts as to what's happening re the stalling issue. Nothing like raising the issue in the public domain, Nissan will have to answer you in the spotlight especially if more than one driver says they're having the same problem.
