Had the juke 4 months now

Post by moncrieffey » Sun Aug 02, 2015 11:37 am

Ok, not been on in a while, would just like to update on how I've found the juke. It's a 15 plate, tekna, diesel. Got it on the 31st of March, probably been in the car nearly every day except a week in gran canaria, just over 4800 miles on the clock probably about 70% motorway driving, and it hasn't missed a beat. It's being driven in Eco mode, with the very odd occasion putting it in sport mode, it has been "babied" on the motorway on cruise control, and last month, I kid you not, I squeezed 600 miles out of a full tank! It is a drivers car and is running sweet as a nut.

Would I recommend the juke? Absolutely.

Hi moncrieffey, Glad you're enjoying the car. When did you go to Gran Canaria? We were there in May at Puerto Rico. Cheers, Cofnchtr.

Hi guys. Been a while since I've been on. A wee update on the juke. It got its first yearly service exactly 6 months the ago today. Obviously that means I've had the juke for a year and a half. It's just done over 22k miles, I've had it down to skeggy then back home then to Blackpool a few days later, so done plenty miles that week. It's still running as sweet as a nut, im in it probably every day. I have a year and a half left on the lease, I probably won't get another one but it has been a great car, I've found out though it is very small in the back, 5 people is a squeeze in the wee car. I'll definitely see about getting a bigger car next time, actually thinking about a new mondeo estate. But really loved the juke. The paint work has held up (ink blue) the odd stone chip but nothing serious, still getting 600miles from a full 45 litre tank, today's the first time I've had to put engine oil in her. Trying to think of anything else but can't really fault it. Probably the sat nav is a little sketchy, but it has still got us everywhere we've went. I reckon by the time the lease is up I'll have done about 50k miles give or take a couple. Would give it a solid 8/10 so far

Ok guys, that's been 3 years I've had the car, just to refresh your memory we got the car brand new, ink blue, 1.5 diesel, Tekna.

I haven't been on here since the last post about 18 months ago, will give you an update, done exactly 49k miles in it, in this bad weather we're having only getting about 450 miles out of a full tank, in nice weather conditions you can push this to 600 miles.

I do have some complaints now that we've had the car this long, the clutch went at 41k miles going along the motorway (the car was only away 6 days to get repaired under warranty). also the battery died 1 week after this happened, the sat nav is sketchy as hell, some times it doesn't even work, think it's something to do with the SD card it has, and I originally thought the paint work was good, but it isn't, just looking at the car will scratch it, and i originally said it it was a small car, it still is very small lol.

The main dealers have been very good, the car has been serviced at Western Nissan Stirling and Edinburgh and both have been fine.

would I recommend this car to a family of 4? Probably not, I would give the car a steady 7/10.

but the time has come to move along, we ordered a new seat leon FR 2.0 estate is mystery blue, its very similar to the ink blue of the juke.

What a quick 3 years it has been though.

Thanks for the input on the time you had the Juke moncrieffey. Agree it’s not a family car. But still love it. Good luck with the Seat. All the best. 👍🏼
