1.2 Dig-t had enough

Post by Xsub » Sun Jan 21, 2018 10:43 am

Been in touch with Nissan and asked them to source me a DCi.
I've had enough of sticking huge amounts of fuel in every month.
I don't do massive miles and fully aware of DPF issue but prior to the petrol juke I've had diesels for the last 10 years
27 MPG is just not acceptable and certainly not what Nissan advertise/the salesman's pitch in the showroom 😐

Try a 1.6 Digt, we average a genuine 38mpg. The 1.2 that we had while ours was in service was lucky to do 30mpg, they really are poor. Thankfully we test drove a 1.2 before we bought.

I did have a think about the 1.6 but I'm worried my old heavy right foot might return to explore the power 😁

I’ve had a 13 plate Tekna diesel for over a year now. I know diesel are getting bad press lately, but I would recommend them for sure. I get 60mpg on a run and 38-40 round town. I know about the DPF. But if you go for a good run every other week. Just so they can work....... It’s a good excuse to go for a burn out. 👍🏼😎

Same here.
Had my 12 Dig-T for 13 months from new - salesman stated car would achieve 35+ mpg urban.
Lucky to get 30mpg in any mode eco/normal or sport, currently 28mpg in Normal mode.
Car has been into dealers 3 times - had software update.
Last time booked in on back of Nissan UK Customer care case complaint.
Dealer couldn't find anything wrong.
Nissan UK customer services now inform me that I should expect 28mpg urban driving - Nissan official fig 39mpg.
Had mid 30s mpg in previous 1.2 and 1.6 Qashqai
Very disappointing to say the least!

I'm currently raising complaint through Nissan Finance. Spoke to them today. They seemed to suggest that they had had other similar complaints, so I think there is a general problem they're not admitting to.
Next step Car Ombudsman for me.
Have driven today in sport mode (urban driving) and have same mpg - 28

Hi.
Some one put me ( MIKE45 ) as saying I was pleased with the mpg on my 1.2 :o . What I did say I am very pleased with my Juke and at the age of 73 I enjoy the drive ;) but saying that it's not used for a daily commute so I do sympathise with those who have been misled over the the mpg.
Lets hope the new Juke supposedly to be out in the coming months will be sorted out regarding fuel economy  .
Mike.
