Are there any decent map update options for the satnav yet?

Not sure what one I have, the SD card is at the top right.

This will tell you - https://nissan.navigation.com/en_GB/Nis ... Country=GB

To be honest, even if you get the latest update, it will still be quite out of date, and probably around £160. If you rely on satnav quite a bit, I'd buy a decent dedicated tomtom or garmin with lifetime updates - that will cost you less than the SD card for the Juke and will be a much better satnav.

It's not worth the money for the occasional use it gets. I just wondered if anyone had any non-Nissan priced versions that are known to work

The SD card in my Juke reads "Map Data 2013". How do I update the maps? Is there anyway I can update the SD card at home or do I need to take it to Nissan? Are there any reliable ebay sellers around?

You might be able to find one on ebay (make sure it's for the correct version of the connect) - the official ones are silly money -last time I looked it was about £160, and even when my Juke was new, the maps wasn't exactly up to date (in fact mine is 2 years old and there's a road near me that has been open for at least 5 years, and it's not on there. I would be inclined to spend £50 or thereabouts on a TomTom or Garmin with lifetime updates and get a decent mount (the small magnetic mounts that stick to your dashboard are quite neat) and use that if you are going somewhere you don't know.

In my opinion a garmin or tomtom has far more information on it than the inbuilt sat nav. The garmin I have is about 3 years old, cost around £ 70 and I much prefer it to the inbuilt sat nav.
I did buy a sat nav sd card from ebay for my Juke and it works fine, looks like an original card when looking at the attached label, no doubt it's a copy but does that really matter ?
As mentioned by others sat nav maps are usually 18 out of date.

one other point with garmin or tomtom, if you want to add your own speed camera data, the satnavs are directional with speed cameras, so they won't be set off by a camera on dual carriageway pointing in the opposite direction, whereas the Juke satnav isn't, so you'll get a lot of false warnings. If you are after this option, check the website where you are going to get warnings from to check that you can add your own speed camera POI file.
