Gardex Protection system

Post by Duncan22 » Wed Jun 13, 2018 6:06 pm

Having purchased a juke last week from a local dealership they insisted on going through a list of additional items I might be interested in purchasing.

Among these items was the Gardx protection system, I think they spray some clear fluid on the bodywork which it is claimed protects the paintwork from various things. Has anyone on the forum ever used this or know anything about it ? As expected the adverts make it sound great.

Hi.
I had my new Juke done this year but it was called lifeshine,I live in St Ives Cornwall and the seagull POO ;) is like acid. It cost £250 so lets hope I done the right thing, you also get a case of autoglym products which sell in halfords for £90.
If you intend keeping the car for a long time it might be worth having it done.
Mike.

if u leave bird poo on your car even with said protection you still should clean as the acid will penetrate through. and if you dont wash your car correctly then life shine will not last 6mths. just out of curiosity how long did they say it last for

a nice shiny car looks sweet as it stands out from the crowd, keep on top of your car and it will last for years, better than dull patchy paint cover in swirl marks

I find cars being 100% mechanically perfect will last you longer than shiny ones.
