Seat Belt Indicator Lamp/Signal

Post by Recrula » Thu Dec 20, 2018 10:30 am

The seat belt indicator lamp remains illuminated and the signal alarm sounds continuously without anyone in the front passenger seat. It can only be turned off by engaging the seat belt. A diagnosis and repair solution will be much appreciated. Thanks. :?:

Just keep the belt clipped in. The passenger seat detector is a bit sensitive and will sound off over a small handbag or a pet carrier!

If you're under warrant, get it checked out - assuming you haven't got anything on the seat, as above post, then there's a fault in the sensor within the seat. As I understand it, the seat belt warning light isn't an MOT failure, so leaving it plugged in is the easy solution.
