condensation

Post by Duncan22 » Thu Mar 07, 2019 11:46 am

Ok it's a 2012 Juke but I get a lot of condensation in the car, nothing is actually wet in the car so assume there are no water leaks.
I have been using a unibond anti condensation unit in my car which quickly fills up with water but does little to solve the problem.
I accept it's a 2 minute job to wipe all the internal windows before driving off but do others have this problem and if so any ideas on how to deal with it ?

Hi Duncan,Will using the aircon remove the condensation because thats all I use when it starts to damp up.
Its only a Juke if it's RED.

@Bernie,
Thanks.
It does clear using the aircon but takes a fair bit of time.

It might be worth cleaning the inside of the screens with a good glass cleaner - if the windows are at all dirty (which they will become with traffic grime being sucked into the car, plus pesky humans breathing inside the car), the windows won't clear as quickly. Whatever you do, don't use anything designed to clear rain from the outside of the screen (such as rain-x) on the inside.

Yeah, clean the windows properly, moisture does condense quicker on dirt.

Is it set to fresh air mode, not recirculate, that can cause condensation build up too.

Thanks for the tips !
Must confess it is some time ago when I cleaned the windows inside.
