Increasing power

Any thoughts on increasing power on a Juke Tenka 1.6 petrol engine.
I have seen adverts for a new air box that claims to increase power by driving more air through the fuel mix but it's advertised on ebay and at under £50 I am a bit suspicious about it.
Anyone done any type of mods to increase power on this engine ?

There are chips that can do this, but they are much more than £50 - I wouldn't take the risk, as at that price, if it actually does anything, it probably hasn't had a great deal of R&D done on it, so could damage your engine. This sort of thing is best left to specialists where you will get a warranty, not an ebay listing.

Always a touchy subject but has anyone had either good or bad experiences with the more expensive 'tuning' boxes?
I'm after real and not heresay comments if possible please.
Not interested in the ones that are a few quid but the UK made ones with warranties and, in some cases, a fitting service?
I can have my 1.5 diesel chipped for about £270 but this is permanent so a plug and play would suit me and if the claims are kosher these can be reprogrammed for another car.
Anyone?
