Thanks folks. If anyone is interested I could make some DIY kits. They will be 'plug and play' so there is no need for you to cut or join any wires.Gismo wrote:Blimey guys, this is cutting edge. When you get this sorted can you work on a 'Tea's Made' to wake me up with a nice fresh cuppa Funny you should say that, it looked like the way I was heading during the development stage! If I can work out how to remove the guide lines then the same module could be used to display any composite (CVBS) video source such as DVD player, etc.

A DIY kit sounds like a great idea for those less adventurous like myself :D

Thinking about the positioning of a camera to record front action.

Is there a loom connection for the rain sensor in cars where it isn't present?
Certainly going to explore that option when I get my unit in. The screen should sit nicely up there.

In any case, the power should splice into the interior light connections so there are no trailing cables to the socket.

Anyone looked at this at all?

The lines on the connect 2 can simply be pressed to remove the guide lines . . . . . I would be interested in a kit price dependent

Sorry, I don't understand. That could be written in Martian for all the sense it makes to me - my car does not have connect or connect 2 and I don't really know what it is. What are these lines and guide lines of which you speak?

The Connect systems are the basis for navigation, media playing, reversing camera etc., and have the small display screen as seen above. If you haven't got that system, then don't bother to strain the brain .

Sorry the connect 2 system has a button that says guide iirc on the left hand side, this turns the guide lines off and on.
