Juke Engine

Post by Duncan22 » Wed Jun 20, 2018 2:30 pm

Yes I know this section is mainly for external photos of the Juke but am posting this as I need some advice on changing the spark plugs.

I did raise this under electronics but despite the advice given am still confused, please check these photos and advise the minimum number or items to be disconnected and any spares required when changing the plugs

Thanks for that.
Shame he does not do it at a normal speed along with dialogue as to what additional things may be required such as gaskets.
First car I have ever come across that needs so much to be dismantled for a simple spark plug change.

Duncan the video is not your engine, the vacuum pipe on the second photo at the right of Nissan and the one to the lower left of Nissan needs removing.
Then remove the bolts that secure the plastic cover,
Then remove the bolts that secure the coils , one bolt on each coil,
Then remove the spark plugs.
There are no gaskets involved.
Its only a Juke if it's RED.

Bernie,
Thanks for your reply.
Looking at the very top large pipe that is attached to that metal section would that also have to be disconnected to access the 4 bolts that attach to the cover ?
Two of those bolts which can just be seen in the photo could be removed but the other two would be difficult to access without disconnecting the pipe.

yep disconnect that pipe also the electrical connector to give you more access,
The pipes are only vacuum pipes so make sure you dont get any debris in them ,

The clips on your car appear to be rusty so squirt a bit of wd40 on them first.
