Couple of Juke questions

Post by cortez89 » Tue Apr 10, 2018 5:29 pm

Hello all,

I have a couple of questions about my Juke, its a 2016 reg 1.2l Nissan Juke, what I am looking to find out is;

Does this model of the Juke have an oil level warning light?
If it doesn't does it have an oil pressure warning light, and would this show if the car had 'no oil'?
Does the service required light only show after 18k miles or should it show after each year as well?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, all the Jukes are the same, in which case, when you first switch the ignition on, it will (hopefully) say "Oil Good" in the display where the mileage reading is, followed by five squares - this is the oil level - hopefully all 5 squares are filled/solid in which case the oil level is OK, but if the squares are empty, then that indicates the level.

I'd still be inclined to use the dipstick when engine cold periodically.

Oil pressure and oil level aren't the same (unless you have no oil at all) - you can still have good oil pressure when the level is low, though the pressure might suddenly drop off if you go round a corner if the oil pickup is suddenly not picking up any oil.

ours says oil good with the bars. but still check the dipstick anyways regardless. servicing I would do twice a year with quality parts fuel filter once a year. ours may be different though being a 1.5dci mk1 only had it 3 weeks or so tho.
