Following the same conversation, I checked the trip meter on Sarah's 1.6 n/a on the way home. I don't think it's been reset in the last 30k miles. And the result? 26.1 That is mostly A roads and motorways cruising around 80. It's never out of Sport because it feels like your towing a caravan on any other setting I think she needs a Nismo because they're more economical

Blimey, my consistent 28-29 from my std 1.6 doesn't look too bad then. Slightly thirstier on LPG than petrol, and like you always in Sport.

Still showing 36.4 over 3200 miles now

Including a very fast 100 mile dash down the motorway last night ar silly speeds and still showing same average

I have been off work this week and have done a bit of running about. The result of which is having covered 671 miles i have averaged 34.7mpg. Before i reset it my wife had done about 2k in it and the average was reading 28.6mpg. Told her to ease off a little as i dont drive slow and can get alot more . Seems like women have lead feet ;)
