What should be straightforward on any car is not so on this model.

Firstly the main problem is that the filter is positioned so badly that access is near impossible, are there any tips or hints on what bits to remove to allow better access ?

And is there a special Nissan removal tool available ?

Any help would be much appreciated please.

Its a pain to get to the filter, you have to remove the plastic air intake and the pipe going to the throttle body and undo the flexi hose off the
turbo pipe.i use a 3 leg oil filter removal tool, with an extension bar

when replacing the plastic pipe back on the thottle body on the other end there's a small bolt holding it on to the altinator.
I found it very hard to line back up the bolt hole,it dosent really need to be held on there so i left it.
There as been a lot of these plastic pipes breaking at the point where they clip in the thottle body.i think i was lucky because there must be a
lot of stress on the pipe with the engine moving.i did put a piece of rubber between the pipe and altinator.
hope this helps.

I didn't see anything unusually difficult about the oil filter compared to most cars now. I've got one of the metal band tools, they work great on any filter I've had.

I did think the intercooler pipework seals seemed a bit on the flimsy side.
