If you have any glow plugs out it wont light the EML but will store a fault code for them
i have a scanner and just did a routine check and found i had a dud one.
best to change all 4

As said, glow plugs will be the problem. Is the curly wire light coming on in the dash?

I'd just measure the resistance of each to ground, should be a low value, a few ohms or thereabouts.

you can do a simple test on your old plugs with a Multimeter, watch it on you tube
