Well, I've got it !!!!!

Post by stevied » Wed Jan 15, 2020 7:50 am

Picked up the car yesterday lunchtime.
So far I'm impressed, the handling is good, power wise it's not as fast as my 4.5 V8 Volvo XC90 lol
But it is nippy. Tried all modes, eco would only be on long runs on motorway, sport mode is quirky, steering really tightens up.
Wifey not had a drive yet, but I think she'll be happy.

It's the 1.2 DIG-T
Supposedly the troublesome timing chain one.
I'm hoping they've ironed out the issues by now lol.

How hard is it to take the headlight trims off please?
Wifey would like them painting Emotion red to match the rest of the trim, also I'd like the roof spoiler on as well.
Oh, it the Envy model as well.

Hi Would of thought you'd ask who you purchased the car from to take the trims off if you didn't want them . This is a tricky one ,I have them on mine
Could you not go back to whom you bought it from and ask them to take them off for a small fee . Failing that you could try fishing line

Hi Gasmeter.
Yes I can, we are going back to Henry's next week as they owe me a full tank of fuel, and they are making up the private plates and installing them.
I will see what's involved.
Thanks.

Hi As for the spoiler there are two ways to put it on either drill and screw it on, which is more time and money or with tiger glue which is quicker
Don't buy from dealer way to expensive

I got a spoiler being delivered Saturday, comes ready painted as well in NAH red £200, main dealer wanted £499 fitted. What a joke lol
It's also a genuine Nissan part as well.

What years are troublesome? We've just got a 66 plate 1.2 DIG-T. Is there a recall for this?
