Speed cameras

Post by stevied » Fri Feb 07, 2020 3:42 pm

Hi All.
I have just been in touch with Nissan EU to see if the speed camera warning was on my connect Navigation system. It is according to the registration number.
I have been told that it has been disabled by Nissan Europe as it's illegal in some European countries.
She said it's not illegal in UK, but they will not reinstate it at this present time.
Is there anyway to reinstate it myself please?
TIA

Hi stevied,That is a new one on me I would think that if it can be disabled then surely it can be enabled, but it is beyond me but I think someone will be along to advise if it can be done.
Its only a Juke if it's RED.

Not so sure if it's a new EU rule. They disabled the autolock function and that cannot be re-enabled in the UK.

Did you tell them we're not in Europe?

Hi Fast Guy.
Yes, I told her we were not in Europe and she said it's legal in UK.
I rang Hendy Nissan in Bournemouth, they are going to enable it tomorrow.
Maybe Tina in Europe is a little annoyed we are not in Europe anymore and is being as unhelpful as possible lol.
I left the appropriate feedback for her when they emailed me a customer satisfaction survey.

Regarding the speed cameras can they be enabled on the sat nav or is this through the connect system which I believe is subscription. I,m asking as Ive just bought a 65 reg tekna1.5 and where my previous sat nav on my Seat showed speed cameras this doesnt.
