Mine sounds like a bag of nails lolBeen in contact with 'Directors' office at Nissan. Argued for 45 mins until I went ape! The guy wouldn't budge! They're refusing to touch it, more money to replace the box than the money left to pay off!Looking for an alternative.I don't envy anyone else whose CVT fails. They still think that there are NO issues.
About time that Nissan guarantees their CVT's like they do in the states!andylloyd2015-10-05 21:13:01

As I understand the automatic gearbox is only coupled with the AWD system, however, I could be mistaken

have the QQ's been suffering the same issues?

Don't know if it's changed but the AWD jukes or at least the drivetrain is or was manufactured in Japan and although the the gear box is similar its not the same as the 2WD CVT's.
Like many other on this site and others love their jukes but Nissan UK and there unwillingness to own up do the right thing and cover the CVT with for 5 years warranty same as the US I would steer clear of the 2WD CVT

So far the CVT Failures seem to be on the basic Auto Box as fitted to the two wheel drive only cars [touch wood?] - the four wheel drive use's a slightly different M-CVT unit of which I've not yet seen any reports so far and I'm keep an eye out with good reason Only thing I will warn you about the AWD Auto Juke is ... it like's Petrol so be warned. 2WD, 4WD, 2W-Auto - Sport, Eco whatever ... it likes it's petrol! But if your not bothered preferring Smiles Per Mile then it's not a problem. M-JMy Juke ...... a AWD M-CVT 1.6 Tekna ... in case you where wondering? .

I think that some autos are fitted with paddle shifters making a "manual " option.

As someone considering an automatic next time can someone in the know clarify whether a two wheel drive auto is available ? I'm currently running a diesel but the next will almost certainly be petrol as I no longer cover the mileage

An old mate has a front wheel drive QQ 1.6 diesel automatic, so I knew it was feasible

My Wife's 2013 Juke 1.6 Premium CVT is in the dealers. 12k miles.Symptoms are a loud grinding noise in Park, Drive or Reverse. Also an oily/ burning smell. The Symptoms are intermittent and the dealer says it can't hear anything. I asked them to analyse the CVT box but they refused. They will not look at it until they witness any symptoms. They called today Saturday and will test drive it again on Monday.I warned my wife that this would happen if she bought a Nissan CVT, but she insisted on having one. I told her that we would only buy one if under full warranty.

If you do indeed have a CVT Issue then I feel for you. With regard to getting any address from the Nissan Dealer Network. They will only work on FACT and then only if those 'Fact's' manifest themselves in front of them whilst providing a corresponding Error Code for them to Print Off and provide to their Nissan Over Lords!!! You see, the days of Garage Mechanics/Workshop Managers using their gumption have long gone, so if something does not provide the magical Error Code then it (in their eye's) just has not happened!OK, so of little help to you, eh! What you can do and (now) should do when you get a problem with (any) car is video it? Get yourself a camera that records video and a cheap ÂŁ4 Suction Mount off the likes of Ebay and each time you drive the car have it set up and recording the journey. That way as soon as any Intermittent Fault happens ... you've caught it on film ... showing when it happened, what happens and more importantly the simple fact it Did In Fact HAPPEN! You then show the video to the Dealer and say ... there you go, THAT'S the problem ... FIX IT!!!Anyway hopefully their next Test Drive will show up a fault ... if not invest in a Video Recorder if you don't already have one and/or take your car to another Nissan Dealer for a second opinion. But one thing - if you go TELLING them what you think the problem is, they may be less inclined to look at it? Civilian Mechanics are very primadonna like and very easily take offense when told how to do their job! Especially so Nissan one's! Good luck for Monday.M-J

Vauxhall are worse, they won't even look at the car unless the fault is there, or they will charge you, even if you have full life time warranty.

Thinking of buying new nConnecta CVt Juke. Dealer (off the record) says there were/are some problems with early cvt boxes but these have now been fixed on xtronics upgrade.Has anyone any evidence of this ie. any new xtronic failures???His advice though is still to take out extra warranty after 3 years to get 6 years coverage.
