I'm not actually sure what the standard system is like in terms of design, but our Nismo sounds not too bad as standard.What Cats are on the standard system? Perhaps go for a higher flowing sports cat if they don't already have one and perhaps see if they are any silencers in the system to remove.Personally we have a loud car (as standard) and it is really irrating for a normal drive, to the point where we don't use it anymore unless its for track days or a squirt out on a Sunday.Would you not prefer some enhanced induction noise? Perhaps see what performance exhausts are on the Clio sport as they use the same engine, that way you can gauge what noise the engine would produce with a performance exhaust on.

 

I would go for a HKS dump valve or a HKS suction reloaded or both the noise is the same untll you put your foot down you will get a sportier sound great for scaring pedestrians.you can see them by clicking on the juke and nismo banner saves mucking about with the exhaust.

I have gone for 'made to order' back box. Sounds a little more throaty when you push the loud pedal altho' no more noisy when driven normally. Visually looks a lot better than the standard exhaust. Reasonably priced too £130 including fitting and as it it is stainless steel you get a lifetime guarantee.

 

That's interesting everyone i asked about an exhaust wanted to cut the flange off the old exhaust and weld it on to the new one not one would make a complete new back box.I went down that route but decided against as there was no way back when the flange was cut off,and at that price sounds to good to be true.please take some pictures before and after fitting as it would be helpful to members as it has been a problem getting a new backbox without cannibalising the old box.

 

I probably have not made myself too clear, I too had to have my exhaust 'cannabilised' the guy who fitted it did indeed have to weld it into place. I did discuss with him about it not being too loud when using In everyday traffic and he assured me it would be ok and it indeed is ok. He tailor makes the exhaust to each customers requirements. Size, shape, noise & tone etc. Rebel Powerpipes (Barton upon Humber). Hope this clears things up. I will take some photos when I get chance. It is 3" rolled outwards.

How does the Miltek look?OEM?

 

now don't take offence, and i no Milltek are well known but has any one actually seen on there website any pictures or any stated prices for a Juke.the fitting guide turns out to be on a Volkswagen not a Juke what a way to do business no wonder this puts me off tinkering with my exhaust.i think i will wait for the RS to come out hopefully the rear box will be a straight swap.

 

Had a drive in a Juke Nismo today with a Stillen exhaust fitted.Sounds OK from outside the car but bloody aweful on the inside. Could not live with that at al!!Unless I can sit in a Juke fitted with a Milltek exhaust then won't be bothering. Listening to youtube video's is definitely not the same as a proper test drive.If anyone else has an idea of the type of exhaust to look at then please let me know

 

sorry bingo66this is the problem unless you can hear one no one in there right mind is going to take the plunge when the new nismo comes out that exhaust is surposedly makes more noise.but please don't ask when we are likely to see it could be maybe this year or next it is up to the nissan gods. HKS do a range but they do start around £600 mark

Hi Gadget,I've now forgot about an exhaust mod for the time being and want to go for the HKS dump valve instead. Is it easy to fit?

 

Hi bingo66if you go to the nismo gallery gadgets photo's 16-8-13 you can see the one on mine,some are hidden under the cover which to me seems to defeat the object.old saying if you got it flaunt it,as for fitting it is very easy to fit now when i had my first HKS product the instructions all came in Japanese so had to work with only the drawings thankfully they now come in english and drawings and a step by step guide fitting time 1hr approx.if ordered from juke and nismo you get a choice of tubing red or blue.

 

Just a couple of questions im thinking of fitting the HKS SSQV4 BOV is this the preferred model for the Nismo Juke?I have a few question if any one can shine some light1) Is it easy to return it back to stock or do you have to cut pipes etc (warranty purposes)2) Is there a UK supplier of the kit?3) Has any one got the instruction they could email over?4) Will it cause the EML to come on for any reason?Cheers N1SMO_JUKE

N1SMO_JUKE1: the HKS DUMP VALVE IS EASY TO FIT NO CUTTING JUST REMOVAL OF PIPEWORK SO CAN BE PUT BACK TO STOCK and the point of the dump valve is to have it on show not hidden.2:unfortunately i have thrown my instructions away.3:it can be ordered from juke and nismo customized accessories4:been running mine for over 12 months in conjuction with the HKS Suction RE-Loaded cold air intake with no light,bells or whistles coming on so no problems

we have our dump valves in a twist the one on youtube is an inline HOSE SSQ4 black edition as apposed to the juke which is bolted on to the side of the engine with it's hoses runing back to a flange where the old valve was located under the cover and the hose on the re-circulating part removed and blanked off

I have the "ulter" back box on my dig-t, I tried the stollen but it was far too loud in the cabin ! Ulter is a Polish company and where very good in terms of service ! The pipe fitted straight on, no cutting or welding and the sound is far better than standard but still quiet in the cabin

 

I have a Miltek res system on mine straight bolt on no probs with the installation.
Pics are on my build, if the non res is to loud I will do you a trade I know they are loud
